Short answer
Visa's Fixed Acquirer Network Fee: a monthly network fee based on a merchant's category and size rather than on each transaction.
FANF appears on statements as a fixed monthly charge. For card-present merchants it depends mainly on the number of locations; for card-not-present (online) merchants it depends on monthly Visa volume. It’s one of the network fees that interchange-plus pricing should pass through at cost.
You won’t see FANF on a flat-rate Stripe statement because it’s absorbed into the price. Read more about what’s inside card pricing in interchange-plus pricing explained.
